Northwest Nazarene University is situated on an 85 acre site in the heart of Nampa, Idaho, about 17 miles west
of Boise, Idaho. The city of Nampa is nearly 80 thousand in population and is the fastest growing city in the state of Idaho.
The Fine Arts Building has near-perfect facilities for Jazz Camp 2008. It doesn't get much better than this!
It has huge band and choir rooms, plenty of rehearsal space for one-on-one instruction, combos, trios and more.
We are privileged to have the honor of hosting our final Camp Concert in the magnificent Swayne Auditorium, a 16-hundred
seat theater-auditorium that is fast becoming the 'Jewel of the West" for its astounding acoustics and state-of-of-the-art
sound , lighting and recording capabilities. (See photo below).
Additionally, we will be adding several NEW classes at Jazz Camp 2008, including Arranging, and Composition using the
recently completed 26 - Computer station MIDI lab! Each computer is loaded with professional software such as 'FINALE'
'SIBELIUS' and 'BAND IN A BOX' (See picture at home page).
We have also added MORE combo, trio, and sextet rehearsals to our schedule for 2008!
Students!
We have instructors who teach and perform on vibes. We encourage students playing other brass, reed and percussion instruments
to join us. We have room for you! Vibraphone, baritone horn, euphonium performers are welcome!!

Residential style dorms ( see example below) are available in Sutherland Hall, ajacent to the Fine Arts Building, where
all classes will be held.
